The Rocker Chick Stuck in an Acoustic Folksinger’s Body

Tina Sicre – Musician

Independent musician, Tina Sicre is the “Rocker chick stuck in an acoustic folksinger’s body.”

Singing, strumming and writing since I was 9, I have plenty of songs to share and stories to tell. I began my musical journey in Santa Barbara, CA, as front-woman for the local folk-rock band 12 Stories. After several years with the boys, playing the local circuit, I decided to venture out on my own, traveling in my VW bus (accompanied by my 2 big dogs.)  I lived the starving musician’s life and loved it.

During my years on the road, I wrote and self-produced two albums, “simple” and “Becoming.”  I also developed the Living Room Tour as a way to share my musical talents while collecting donations for breast cancer research.  To this day, I consider the collection of these adventures to be amongst my greatest achievements.

At present, I live in Santa Barbara with my husband and young son (another of my great achievements), and continue to sing, write, and play music.  I now record and play live with LA-based musicians, Stefan Storace (drums), David May (bass), and Erik Madsen (guitar).

I still tell stories, too, and in fact have written my first novel which I am looking forward to publishing soon, so stay tuned…(read about my current project).
